EarlyGains Fund Relative Price Performance Rankings
Each week, I look at the relative performance of the hundreds of mutual funds available to the investors in India. This Fund Relative Price Performance is not to be confused with Relative Strength Index (RSI), which is a technical trading oscillator.
Fund Relative Price Performance (FRPP) monitors performance of the mutual funds over different periods of time (3 months – 3 years), scores the overall performance, and ranks the funds. Based on this analysis, I identify the top 10 funds in each investment style category. Funds which have performed well in the short- as well as the long-term will score well in this analysis.
I will report on the consistent performers, call out funds that are moving up the rankings, and flag those that are moving down the rankings. A model portfolio will be published every month that uses data from this analysis. This portfolio will represent the superstar funds across investment styles. Investors can use these funds in their portfolio planning.
